Gluten-Free Lasagna Recipe

Ingredients:

12 gluten-free lasagna noodles

1 pound ground meat (beef, turkey, or your choice)

1 onion, finely chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 (24-ounce) jar gluten-free tomato sauce

1 (15-ounce) container ricotta cheese

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons dried basil

2 teaspoons dried oregano

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the gluten-free lasagna noodles according to the package instructions until they are al dente. Rinse with cold water and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground meat over medium heat until it's browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat.

  3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the cooked meat. Sauté for a few minutes until the onion is tender.

  4. Stir in the tomato sauce, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer the sauce for about 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together. Remove it from heat.

  5. In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1 1/2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, and eggs. Mix until well combined.

  6. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  7. Assemble the lasagna: In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, layer the ingredients in the following order: a small amount of meat sauce, a layer of cooked lasagna noodles, half of the cheese mixture, and a portion of the remaining meat sauce. Repeat this layering once more, and finish with a layer of noodles, meat sauce, and the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese on top.

  8. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes.

  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

  10. Allow the lasagna to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.

Serve your delicious gluten-free lasagna and enjoy!
